The Beaver Cycle Club was founded in 1959 and is one of Wisconsin's oldest sanctioned clubs. The cycle club grounds are located on County Highway I approximately 1/4 mile south of Country Trunk Highway C in Dodge County near Atwater, Wisconsin.
The cycle clubgrounds are in the back yard of the home of William and Arletta Mischler, "Bill" Sr. (pictured at right) is the original owner of Mischler's Harley Davidson in Beaver Dam.
The clubgrounds consist of a lighted 1/4 mile short track, a scrambles track, a large pit area, overnight camping area and generous parking area. The property has a stream that meanders in and around the Mischler home, along turns one and two of the short track, back around through the camping area.
The scrambles track consists of two left-hand turns (#1 and #2 of the short track), two right-handers leading to a tight left-hander that opens up onto a short backstretch that enters a long sweeping left-hander, exiting onto another short straight over a small jump, then up a hill and back down into an action packed left-hand hair pin, back up the hill and down into a tight right-hander that crosses the start/finish line.
The members sell refreshments from the clubhouse that sits atop the hill overlooking the start/finish line, and the elevated announcers stand. The oak trees provide plenty of shade for the crowd that lounges across the hill.
